Re: Rebuild time

It's the GK76A mate. While you've got it apart replace all the carb o rings, it'll make a phenomenal difference to the running.

On looking at the oil pump filter being very fine im hopping than no more crap has gone up,,,,, will see. will take the pump off and have a lokk whilst it is apart.

Then the f,,ing and blinding started. could i get the fecking gen cover off could i feck even using the puller with a few nuts in^%!^£%!^£%!^£%! bastards,,,,,,,, so left it and walked a way before i got the hammer on it

so any bright ideas or hints

gary you should be able to get the shaft out with just removing the clutch. Badger send me a pm with your mobile number in. I will give you a parts breakdown of what you need. With part numbers just need to know the year and if its standard or sp model . You will need a bolt in puller to remove the bits you are gonna bash. It has magnets in that if broken means its had it. You will need bearing pullers a bearing seperator a dremel with cutting disc etc etc.

Re: Rebuild time

well made a puller up today, which worked with a 10 ton puller onit emoticon and that only just managed to do the job

Image

so manage to take take the other 2 screws out to release the casing , the only damage i could see was a crack in the casing where the cog had rubbed against it

Image

most of the bearing casing had been shreaded and was in the bottom of the sump.
heated the shaft to remove the spacer and whot was left of the bearing

Image

thats all for today emoticon
