6 pot brake calipers

I'm told that Hayabusa 6 pot calipers are a straight fit on the GK76. Anyone done it, or can confirm this is the case?

Cheers.

May be a good idea to make a few measurements - mounting bolt centres, offset etc just to be on the safe side.....

Let us know how you get on.

Re: 6 pot brake calipers

They do fit. Hayabusa 6 pots from '99 to '07 fit, I have had some on my RGV which uses forks of the same external dimensions.

My current bike has GK76a forks and 6 pot calipers from a TL1000R.

Lots of other Kawasaki and Suzuki bikes use these calipers, ZX6R, ZX7R, ZX9R, ZX12R, ZRX1100, ZRX1200, even some GSXRs.

It's a good upgrade.

Alex.

Do you need any different spacers or washers? really thinking of doing this, And would it be a good idea to upgrade the master cylinder aswell?

Well I've had a look at the completed sales...seems they go for fair bit on ebay if I'd known that I would of chucked them on there ages ago.

I got a black pair, in good nick with EBC HH pads with good amount of life left in them...To you I'd do them £80 delivered...Your going to be hard pushed to get them cheaper than that in the post.

I may well still have a master cyl kicking around...If your definitely up for buying the calipers I'll have a hunt round for that too.

It turns out the Hayabusa calipers are identical to those on the GSX1400, and a few Kwaks - ZX6R, ZX7R and ZX9R.

Just picked up a pair for £50, and they fit straight on.
