posticon bleeding the front brakes

my father is having a real issue bleeding the front brakes after cleaning calipers and renewing seals. Is there a set procedure that we must follow to get rid of air in the pipes. Any help would be gratefull.

Re: bleeding the front brakes

haha yea the front brakes a bit pain to bleed especially if you still use the factory hoses. it just takes a LOT of time and patience to do it.

usual procedure just pump the lever until its hard, then keep it there and loose the bleeding screw till u feel the pressure off the lever. screw the bolt back and repeat. make sure u have a small bottle with a hose or something to catch the brake fluid cause u ll need a lot to do this procedure over and over. oh and ofc do it on the other side once you are finished with one side.

last time i bled my front brakes took me about 40minutes and it was when i switched to braided hoses. btw leave the brake reservoir open and notice the small bubbles while you are pumping. when you stop seeing bubbles coming out of the lever is hard enough you know you are done. have fun emoticon
