engine switch


Hi guys just woundered what engines people have squeezed into a gk76a ive just sold my sp and have got a spare gk76a which wount run so am going to turn it into a project any ideas much appreciated

something i see often is the larger 750engine that fits in the same frame with a few mods. there is a thread in the forums with this project look it up

A hell of a lot of work to do it though. Some pretty major mods involved including a front end swap as the existing front end is not really up to that sort of increase in power and weight. Likewise the rear suspension will need uprating. I believe there were also some frame/engine mount alterations to be made too.

Interesting from a purely "project" point of view but if what you're after is something other than a GK76 then you are probably better of buying something else.

Personally I'd think about restoring the 400 (they are now approaching "collectable" status due to the small numbers of them still about and running) then selling it and buying another bike.

yes i see what your saying but to get it up and running will cost alot anyway and i just sold my sp for £700. emoticon ive got other bikes i ride but i would love to get this chassis on a track with some more power thanks for your posts
