Gk71b fuel sensor

My gk71b has a fuel sensor in the tank, im not sure if this is unique to this model.

Anyway, mine is unconnected and i want to know where in the loom it should be connected? It has two cables with bullet type fixings.

The connecting loom should be on the right hand side under the side cover. I also have this and thats where mine is.

Re: Gk71b fuel sensor

The 71F also has a fuel sensor and a pretty accurate fuel gauge to go with it. I am pretty sure all the 400 gixers had fuel sensors. I'm sure someone with a 73 and a 76 will be along to confirm this or otherwise.

Re: Gk71b fuel sensor

Figured it out.

Mine is an early 71b but the tank (and sensor) is from a later b.

My dash doesn't have the fuel gauge.
Explains why it's cable tied up and not connected.
