Re: New tyres time

about 10 years ago they spent massive amounts of money updating all the centres in n.ireland,i think there are about 10,i actually worked on a couple of the ones near me,it is a real money making system, they open thier doors at 8.30 in the mornings,3 lanes of mots, they close at 8.30 at night, this is 6 days a week, every 20 minutes,at 30 quid a pop, resitts are 16 quid its flat out,and it still takes a month to get a date, rant over, but at least you know what happens over here. emoticon

Re: New tyres time

No MOT required for cars or bikes here in Guernsey!! Can safely say my bikes are always roadworthy and would pass any inspection, I get my cars checked annually though even though there is no official test required. Is a bit daft having no MOT at all....or road tax for that matter emoticon

Re: New tyres time

New tyres went on the bike yesterday and it sailed through the MoT today with not even an advisory.

The Metzelers feel just like the Pirelli Diablo Stradas and the Angel STs. Very confidence inspiring with a very quick steering response. Let's see if they last as long now.

Is a good feeling to have tyres that give you confidence in them. Makes all the difference to the enjoyment of blasting about emoticon

Re: New tyres time

When I first fitted the Diablo Stradas, it made me jump on the first bend with the rapid cornering response. The Michelin Pilot Roads I'd had on before were very good tyres but cornered much more slowly and required more effort. The Stradas, and subsequently, the Angel STs and the new Metzelers initially felt like the bike was dropping into the corner, but in fact I was just pushing on the bars too hard to turn in. Minimal effort required with these tyres!
