Bigger Battery For GK73A Results
I originally posted this on the GB forum but its better here since more focussed, and better to archive.
I fitted a CTX12BS battery instead of the 9. It is 25mm taller, but needed in this case since heated gloves are used due to circulation problems.
Its been in for a year with no problems, apart from the rubber battery strap broke so its held in place with foam trapped beneath the tank bracket.

Is that a Sealed Unit?
Useually the Sealed ones are the same size, but give a few more Amps...
On the downside, they cost twice as much, but do last twice as long as normal batts!

I think so - its one of the batteries that you have to fill up with the pack, leave it then put the plastic thing in place that you should never ever remove.

Re: Bigger Battery For GK73A Results
There good batteries they are the sealed units its what I will change over too when I need a replacement.
I used to use a dry cell sealed battery in my old GT380, they are normally used in things like alarms systems and are factory sealed so its just plug n play so to speak.
Although saying that I had a battery off a yacht in my old GT380 as well.

Make sure you charging system is sound before you fit a sealed battery as they will die very quickly if they are deeply discharged (too often). It's about the 1 thing they _really_ don't like.
