Re: gk76a mods

if anyone has a damper set up on the 76a then post a pic.
i got a 68mm (stroke) ohlins item that came off my blade, i made a fitting kit for my 76a only to find that when the front brake lever/master cyl was attached the banjo bolt fouled it. emoticon
may try a behind tank mounted set up next

I'm a bit lost, were you on about a steering damper? Cause I've got one . . .

Or have I just made an arse of myself?

This technical malarky goes over my head lol

Could you please take some detailed pics of it and give me the brand name and maybe a part number off of it? Since I am lucky enough to be in Japan, maybe I could find one for all of us

Re: gk76a mods

really if i wanted a steering damper , I would look at one for the 600,750,1100 style of the 76 since the frames look the same the mounting has to be the same for pete sake the whole damn thing from them bikes has to fit except for a fork bracket that is the size of the 76, Roll on yo!

the mounting to the frame has to fit and so does the damper but the fork attachment would be different! I would think but could be wrong

Re: gk76a mods

the nc30 swinger seriosly messes up the 76a handling mate! as for the bigger gixer brackets the 750 one for sits the damper outwards of the frame by 40mm where as the 76a one is recessed under the side of the frame. the 750 one has the mounting holes 5mm longer on hole centres too.
i would like to say a big thanks to kirsty for all the pictures she sent me of her damper for me to complete the reproduction of the 76a frame brackets. emoticon
