Re: help
Started a topic about it under "Other machines" m8, need to do a few minor tweeks to it first before I take to the road, mainly bleeding the front brake, and putting normal clip-on's back on

Re: help
Na nobody there will try em tomorrow, anyway engine all snug, cos the seller left the left side cover off, I sprayed it with WD40 and then wrapped the whole engine tight in industrial packing clingfilm stuff, put it in a plastic tub that had a few carpet tiles in the bottom to keep it cosy, then lots more of that clingfilm stuff, then stuffed newspaper in the gaps, followed by aload of parcel tape, looks pretty good so long as they don't drop it will get to ya in the same condition it left here
If I get hold of them, expect them to pick up next tues, I don't know if they will stick it on a plane same day or what I'm no expert on sending engines in planes!

Re: help
Hey Furb, just had an e-mail from trans global . I thought the plastic tub was supposed to in a wood crate ,I really doubt if they will even accept that just sitting in a tub, what if it rolls out and lands on a stewards toe. What happened to you building a crate, thought that was what the 70 bob was for?

Re: help
I'll take a pic later showing you what it's like, trust me no chance of it falling out it's well in there and not going anywhere took me ages last night to do it, it's not easy trying to package something that weighs 70kg in a typical garage that's filled with 4 bikes!
It's well in there, it would be very diffcult unless the plane fell out of the sky for it to roll over, I'm sure once they have seen it they will be quite happy, they are comming 2-5 pm tomorrow to collect! If I didn't think it was safe as in it's current state then I would have done something about it!

Re: help
I'm thinking they can be very sticky about such things ,they may want to be able to attach it to the floor ... the e-mail seems a good bit quicker then the site.

Re: help
They will strap it down or put it in a cage when it's on the plane. Nothing wrong with the site either, I'm at work will discuss this later once I've put up some pics on here of what it's like.
