Also if you look the swingarm conversion hasnt had the appropriate machining done to correct the centreline of the rear wheel so it sits to the left of centre.

i know how to fix me bike mate! but when you're poor, you don't have the best choice of tools and workshops or garages. i have a basic halfords tool set, no garage or place to work, so it is all done on the drive!!! i only ask of ways to do it via shortcuts.

Re: LOOK! LOOK! cheap custom gk73a
its never about shortcuts mate whether you do it on the drive or in a professional situation! What you need to always remember as rule number 1 is do it right, do it once!
you can look for as many shortcuts as you like but if you dont do it right you'll be doing for ever!
As for tools you dont need the most expensive or the best! I dont have the best as i just cant afford too. I started out by going out and buying as many of the cheapest tools that i could that will do the job for now. And as those cheap tools break i replace the broken or worn ones with decent ones. The logic behind it is you are going to need the tools at least once but not everyday. The tools that wear or break are the ones used most often so you replace those and the occaisional ones stay cheap as they hardly get used but you have them even still. The one tools that i have that are not cheap are ratchets or measuring equiptment. I've been doing this a long time now and over the years my tools have become extensive to replace them i'd need a lot of money but starting out isnt about having the best but have the tools for a job. If there is a special tool required for a job and i havent got access to it i'll make it.
I think what Jay was trying to say is there is not a need to post the same questions if you already have been given the answers on the other posts and if you are posting a topic on a forum post it in one catagory and not 2 or 3.
hope thats of some use to you

Re: LOOK! LOOK! cheap custom gk73a
verey weel put mate! I had to start off with a carry around tool box and work my way up! Stripes is right short cuts are not for learners ! Exsperience comes with time and so does the most important thing confidence and once you have that the short cuts will come naturally! cheers and good luck!
